COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) – The company building the Sunset Amphitheater, Notes Live, has postponed the public meeting scheduled for August 17 to September 13 from 5-7 p.m.

The meeting will be held at Boot Barn Hall, 13071 Bass Pro Drive, Colorado Springs 80921.

Notes Live moved the meeting so that the parking and access management plan could be completed for the meeting. This way the audience will have more details provided.

“Notes Live is committed to making the Sunset Amphitheater a valuable asset to Colorado Springs. Over the past several months, we have worked diligently to provide our plans to the City of Colorado Springs and have also paid close attention to the feedback we’ve received from the local community,” said Bob Mudd, President and COO of Notes Live. “Access to the site and use of off-site parking have been consistent points of feedback from the community, which has been invaluable in achieving our goal of presenting the best project possible.”

Notes Live indicates that the project team has been actively working on options to augment on site
car park.

To complete its management plan, Notes Live engaged Kimley-Horn, the preeminent national leader in traffic management, parking and shuttle planning for venues and sporting events. “Based on the results of the planning study, we plan to incorporate improvements to a number of elements of the project, particularly in relation to traffic and parking management,” Mudd said. “Given the scale of the project, Kimley-Horn needs more time to complete the plan before resubmitting it to the city.”
