A PAIR of corgis are the stars of the show at a family event to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Darlington Racecourse is hosting an event with a range of activities starting today (Monday) through Wednesday.

Albas may not be a member of the royal family, but he certainly looks one.

The cute corgi met members of the public today and will also be taking part in tomorrow’s event.

He was treated to his own special jubilee cake so he could celebrate in style.

On Wednesday, Cheddar the corgi will resume his royal duties.

The event takes place between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. each day.

The free event is geared towards families, who can take part in a host of crafts and activities including wreath decorating, a corgi search around the theater, puzzles and a chance to look at several elements of the vast theater archive.

And, of course, take a family selfie with the Queen and her loyal four-legged friends.

Events are being held across the region this week to mark 70 years of the Queen’s reign.
