An Agatha Christie Mystery takes center stage starting in November, as Pocahontas’ Downtown Playhouse presents “The Mousetrap.” Tickets are on sale now for the production, which opens November 5 and is scheduled to run through December 3.
“The Mousetrap” is set at Monkswell Manor, a country inn on the outskirts of London, where a blizzard has stranded seven strangers. A police sergeant arrives with news that there has been a murder nearby, and the murderer may be among them. As the guests arrive, everyone matches the description of the killer and has a secret, setting off classic “whodunnit” drama.
The production is sponsored by Anderson Refrigeration and directed by Kelly Grooms. It will take place on December 5, 6, 11, 12, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 2 and 3. Tickets are $25 including tax, and the price of admission also includes dessert and a drink.
Dessert options are pecan pie, key lime pie, vanilla caramel cake, and sugar-free parfait. Dessert and beverage selections must be made at time of ticket reservation.
Reservations can be made by calling (870) 758-2282. The Downtown Playhouse is located at 302 North Marr Street in Pocahontas.
