Holmesville Preschool Playhouse celebrated a milestone over the weekend, local news source Newcastle Weekly possesses reported.

The service, located in West Wallsend on the central NSW coast, has been under the management of owners Vicki and Paul Courtney for almost 20 years, culminating in a celebration that featured a magician, musician, cake stand, plant stand, face painting, sausage sandwiches, coffee and “20 years of nostalgia”.

Mr and Mrs Courtney saw the party as an ‘open house’ in a space they had called ‘home’ since taking over ownership of the department in 2001.

“Since then all of my kids have worked here at some point, my grandchildren are here and my 88-year-old mom always helps wherever she can,” Ms. Courtney said.

“I think it’s the family atmosphere that our parents love about this place,” she added, saying the building was specially constructed to serve as a kindergarten in the 1970s.

Speaking about their time owning the service, she said that even if it had been a ‘whirlwind’, she wouldn’t have done it any other way, despite the ups and downs that come with owning a business education and business. of care.

The small service with 28 places educates and takes care of children from 2 to 5 years old with 6 qualified educators present from 6.30 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday.
