To secure jobs, these independent DJs need to supplement their music knowledge with notable social skills and and self promotion expertise. Their marketability may also be augmented by taking courses and developing skills in sound engineering, audio production, and the use of music computer software. As new entertainment venues open for business, these DJs may experience moderate, localized increases in job opportunities.
